At AutoDeal, we’re proud to share a clear signal from the market: Filipino car buyers are changing—not just in the types of vehicles they’re interested in, but in how they’re choosing to shop and transact.
Recent platform data from January 2024 to June 2025 shows substantial growth in mobile app activity across both iOS and Android, with mobile-originated sales now accounting for nearly 40% of all reported transactions.
This shift coincides with broader changes in the market—most notably, the growing interest in electric vehicles. Together, these trends highlight something we’ve believed for years: Filipino car buyers are becoming more receptive not just to new vehicle options, but to new ways of buying—especially when the experience is anchored in speed, transparency, and trust.
A Clear Shift Toward Mobile
Since early 2024, total app users on AutoDeal have grown more than 15x, reaching over 72,000 active users by June 2025. Android continues to lead in overall volume, but iOS has grown significantly over the same period—now representing over a third of total users.
This surge goes beyond download numbers. It reflects a growing base of engaged, high-intent users who are now choosing to complete their car buying journey directly through the AutoDeal mobile app. Over the past 12 months, conversion rates have climbed steadily—accelerating at a pace that has outperformed the growth we historically saw on our website. By mid-2025, transactions through the app account for more than 38% of all reported sales on the AutoDeal platform.
Why Buyers Trust AutoDeal to Transact Online
At the heart of this shift is trust—and trust is something we’ve built into the AutoDeal ecosystem from day one.
Our consumer-facing app connects directly to the AutoDeal for Agents platform, a business tool used by over 1,000 trained and verified dealership staff across our 600+ partner dealers nationwide. These agents are not third-party brokers. They are official representatives from authorized dealerships, trained in AutoDeal’s systems and committed to the quality standards we’ve upheld for more than a decade.
Through this two-way connection, a buyer can request quotes from multiple dealers at once—often receiving responses from five dealers within 30 minutes to an hour. Pricing, promos, and financing offers are delivered transparently, with no hidden fees or third-party involvement.
We work closely with brands and dealers to ensure agents respond promptly and provide accurate, up-to-date information. This creates a faster, more seamless, and transparent experience that empowers buyers to make confident decisions. Delivering this within a mobile app environment not only enhances convenience but also unlocks new capabilities that elevate the overall buying journey.
New Buying Journeys and New Brands
While legacy manufacturers remain dominant in overall volume, what stands out from our data is the impressive rise of new-to-market brands—especially BYD.
Across both Android and iOS platforms, the BYD Sealion 6 DM-i Advance, a hybrid electric crossover, has consistently ranked among the top five models sold. This signals not only an appetite for more sustainable vehcles but also a willingness among Filipino buyers to try brands that are newer to the local market.
Other top-performing models include:
- Ford Territory 1.5 Titanium
- Kia Sonet 1.5 LX/EX AT
- Mitsubishi Xpander and Montero Sport
- Toyota Wigo 1.0 G CVT
Despite AutoDeal not working with all Toyota dealers in the same way as with other brands, Toyota continues to generate strong sales through the platform—reinforcing the value of brand presence even in partial partnerships.
Android vs. iOS: Different Paths, Same Destination
Our data shows meaningful distinctions between iOS and Android users. Android leads in overall sales volume, while iOS users tend to transact at higher average values. Between January and June 2025:
- iOS average sale value: ₱1.46 million
- Android average sale value: ₱1.34 million
- Web average sale value: ₱1.63 million
This may suggest iOS buyers are more inclined toward higher-spec models.
