Launch
The second-generation Kona re-entered the Philippine market on June 20, 2025. With its revival, Hyundai Motor Philippines introduced the model as a hybrid, offering two variants. The lineup starts with the Kona HEV GLS 6DCT, priced at ₱1,528,000, and tops out with the Kona HEV Premium 6DCT, priced at ₱1,688,000.

Under the hood, the Kona HEV features Hyundai’s Kappa 1.6 GDI hybrid powertrain, combining a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor for a total system output of 142 hp and 144 Nm of torque. Power is managed through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), offering smooth acceleration and improved fuel efficiency. This front-wheel-drive SUV rides on a well-balanced chassis with McPherson struts up front and a multi-link rear suspension, ensuring both comfort and control.
