RADAR RD6 Econ 2025

The RD6 BEV rides on Radar’s dedicated electric unibody platform derived from Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA). It uses front MacPherson struts and a rear multi-link independent suspension, providing a far smoother and more composed ride than leaf-spring pickups. Power comes from one or two permanent-magnet synchronous motors. The 4x2 rear-drive version produces 241 hp and 309 Nm, while the dual-motor 4x4 develops 375 hp and 485 Nm. Battery options include 63 kWh and 73 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs, with WLTP-equivalent ranges of around 327 km and 383 km, respectively. The 4x4 version covers about 350 km on a charge. AC charging is rated at 6.6 kW, while DC fast-charging peaks near 90 to 100 kW, replenishing 30 to 80 percent in about 30 to 40 minutes. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality allows the truck to power external appliances up to 2 kW, making it ideal for camping or emergency use. Payload is around 955 kg for the 4x2 and up to 1,160 kg for the 4x4.

The BEV focuses on essential electric features. The eight-inch infotainment display offers navigation and Bluetooth audio, while the digital cluster provides detailed EV metrics such as remaining range, energy consumption, and regeneration levels. A reverse camera with dynamic guidelines and parking sensors comes standard. The truck includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) outlets both in-cabin and in-bed, enabling it to serve as a mobile power bank. Multiple drive modes—Eco, Comfort, and Sport—allow users to tailor response and efficiency.

The electric RD6 has smooth, aero-inspired lines and a closed front fascia distinguishing it from combustion pickups. The truck measures 5,260 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,865 mm tall on a 3,120 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is around 220 mm with a wading depth rated at 815 mm. The Econ variant comes with halogen projector headlights with manual height adjustment, LED DRLs, LED taillamps, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The cargo bed measures 1,525 mm1,450 mm × 540 mm, with a longer 1,765 mm bed available on select trims. A power tailgate and bed illumination are included, along with V2L bed outlets for powering tools or appliances.

Inside, the BEV Econ emphasizes practicality and efficiency. Seats are upholstered in durable synthetic leather (PVC), with a six-way manual driver’s seat and a four-way manual front passenger seat. The dashboard houses an eight-inch digital-analog instrument cluster paired with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring Bluetooth and EasyConnect smartphone integration. Climate control is single-zone manual, and the rear bench folds 60/40 for additional storage. The cabin design is straightforward but modern, with soft-touch accents and quiet operation thanks to the absence of engine noise.
