Far be it from me to write one of those “we have data that supports the need for our own product” kind of articles, but part and parcel of creating a relevant web product is analyzing data and examining your company’s affect on the vertical you’re operating in. In the process you can eradicate any misconceptions about your product that may have been pre-conceived by blind over-confidence or simple human ego.
As a result we recently pulled back the covers and examined the behavior of 1,000,000 AutoDeal users and cross referenced it with data from P450,000,000 (~$10,000,000USD) worth of vehicle sales that had been supplied to us by happy customers who’d used AutoDeal as part of their car buying journey - and what we found was very interesting indeed.

E-Commerce is not just a Metro Manila thing.
Throw away the misconceptions about online buying only being relevant in Metro Manila. Our study has shown enormous traction in Manila’s suburbs. While Quezon City is naturally the largest market penetration area (accounting for around 8.27% of all inquiries generated and 13% of all recorded-sales), it is closely pursued by Cavite which accounts for 9% of all sales recorded and about 7.44% of all leads generated. Also in the top 10 are areas like Laguna, Bulacan, Rizal, Cebu, and Batangas.
Buyers in the Province need the convenience of E-Commerce.
Most brands already have a presence in Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, Rizal, Cebu, and Batangas - meaning that the buyers connecting across AutoDeal are most likely just looking for the simplicity of being empowered with financial information before they enter the showroom. However for customers in areas with no surrounding dealer AutoDeal has proven success in connecting customers from areas like Ilocos Norte, Negros Oriental, and Baguio with dealers inside Metro Manila; allowing them to transact with dealers safely and remotely ahead of making the long commute to pick-up the vehicle (or to have it shipped).
There should probably be more dealers in Mindanao.
Arguably most brands house their Mindanao based dealers in cities like Davao, Cagayan De Oro, and General Santos. Nevertheless AutoDeal continues to have strong viewing, engaging, and buying interactions from areas such as Illigan City, Bukidnon, Zamboanga, Agusan del Sur, Surigao, and Cotobato.
