The IONIQ 9 rides on Hyundai Motor’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), using a flat floor design to increase space for passengers and cargo. The platform incorporates a high-voltage battery rated at 110.3 kWh. The Long-Range RWD model is powered by a single rear motor that produces up to 160 kW or approximately 214 hp with 350 Nm of torque. The Long-Range AWD variant adds a 70 kW (94 hp) front motor alongside the 160 kW rear motor, delivering a combined output of approximately 306 hp and 605 Nm of torque. The Performance AWD model has dual 160 kW (214 hp) motors on both axles, providing a total output of 428 hp and 700 Nm.
Acceleration times vary by configuration. The Performance AWD model can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, while the Long-Range AWD takes 6.7 seconds, and the Long-Range RWD does it in 9.4 seconds.
