Isuzu Philippines, during its press conference, announced its plans to sell more 3.0-liter models of the all-new Isuzu D-MAX in the local market, rather than the 1.9-liter RZ4E equipped models. The Japanese brand has strategized its popular pickup truck to become more attractive to those looking for a lifestyle-oriented vehicle. Thus, for these variants, Isuzu has equipped them with the more powerful 3.0-liter turbo diesel motor. This gives these models 187hp and 450 Nm of torque right off the bat.
Taking a look at the variant lineup of the Isuzu D-MAX reveals that the 3.0 4x4 LT, the 3.0 4x2 LS MT, 3.0 4x4 LS MT, the 3.0 4x2 LS-A AT, and the 4x4 LS-E AT are all equipped with the improved 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX turbo diesel motor. This gives interested buyers, who want the more powerful engine option, a wider selection to choose from.
The Isuzu D-MAX 3.0 4x4 LT MT offers interested buyers an affordable opportunity to experience what the all-new vehicle has to offer off-road. It can also double as a powerful workhorse model for those who need the hauling capabilities of a dependable and reliable pickup truck coupled with a 4x4 drivetrain that lets them go almost anywhere.
The Isuzu D-MAX 3.0 4x2 LS MT and 3.0 4x4 LS trim-levels offer interested buyers a balanced option that comes with the right amount of features but still at a competitive and attractive price point. These more lifestyle-oriented models present themselves as ideal options for those who will occasionally need to haul heavy loads, but still want a comfortable riding experience with the option of a 4x4 drive system.
The Isuzu D-MAX 3.0 4x2 LS-A AT offers interested customers another step up from the LS models in terms of features. While it doesn’t come with the option of a 4x4 drivetrain, it does come with a few visual elements that help it look like the top-of-the-line variant, as it features the same wheel design and color, as well as the increased 5mm of ground clearance that comes with the new wheels. It also comes with the same gun metallic colored radiator grille as the range-topping LS-E variant.
Completing the local 3.0-liter lineup is the Isuzu D-MAX 3.0 4x4 LS-E AT. This is the variant to choose if you want all the bells and whistles that the Japanese brand can offer for its popular pickup truck. It comes with not only the added power but also with the new Advanced Driver Assist System that is exclusive to the variant. This gives the D-MAX access to more safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, to name a few.
With many attractive 3.0-liter variants to choose from, the Isuzu D-MAX is ready to take on the pickup truck segment and the 15% market share goal that Isuzu Philippines has set for the vehicle.
