Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is participating in the biggest EV convention and exhibition in the country, the Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit. The 10th iteration of the show will see the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) getting a showcase at the show alongside Mitsubishi’s Dendo Drive House.
Since its production, the Outlander PHEV has sold over 260,000 units across the globe, Europe, North America, Japan, and Australia included. Its all-electric operation is a great companion for you and your daily drive. For longer journeys, the hybrid system kicks in and summons the power from the gasoline motor to work in tandem with the electric motors to deliver more sustainable mobility.
If you didn’t know already, the Outlander PHEV is the result of Mitsubishi's long-time development of its electrification technologies, four-wheel-drive expertise, and its Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) technology. The vehicle offers efficiency, smoothness, and more sustainable mobility because of its twin-motor 4WD system and its unique PHEV architecture.
Aside from the fact that it is a car, the Outlander PHEV also boasts a smart-home system that touts a Vehicle-to-Home energy ecosystem function. The vehicle comes with a bi-directional charger, solar panels, and an electric storage facility designed for home use. The system can be installed in your home and it will allow you to charge your EV or PHEV by using solar-generated power. The technology also helps you save on electricity costs, but since it’s a two-way system, the Outlander PHEV can also serve as a backup power generator during power interruptions or other emergencies.
To learn more about the Outlander PHEV, and its features, you can get an up-close and personal look at it in action for yourself at MMPC’s booth at the 10th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit, happening from October 20 to 21, 2022.
