This January, the change in leadership in Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is now official. In a turnover event on January 19, 2023, incumbent Isuzu Philippines Corporation president Noboru Murakami handed over the presidency of IPC to incoming president Tetsuya Fujita.
Aside from welcoming IPC’s new president, the turnover event also served as a way for outgoing president Noboru Murakami to express his gratitude for the support he has received during his time as IPC’s leader. Murakami also conveyed his confidence that Fujita’s leadership skills will bring IPC to the next level.
Tetsuya Fujita started working for Isuzu Motors Limited (IML) in 1991, bringing along with him his extensive experience in sales and operations. Some of his international experiences include being Corporate Planning Manager at Isuzu Commercial Truck of America (ICTA) in California, USA from 2005 to 2010, General Manager for the Sales Department in Isuzu Motors International Operations Thailand (IMIT) in Bangkok, Thailand from 2014 –2017. His most recent assignment before being the president of Isuzu Philippines Corporation was in Isuzu Motors de Mexico, where he served as its chairman and CEO from 2020-2021.
With his vast experience in international sales and operations, Tetsuya Fujita took on the challenge of maintaining IPC’s long streak as the leading truck brand in the Philippines. Fujita’s course of action to maintain this is by continuing to expand and improve IPC’s dealer network as well as maintaining IPC’s formidable relationship with its customers by providing significant contributions to their businesses.
“As the leading truck brand in the industry, we will continue innovating new products that will assist in the progress of the country while displaying more responsibility to the society and the environment through our Road to Progress vision.”
Living up to their tagline, “Your responsible partner,” Fujita vowed to keep the company’s direction on a more sustainable and greener path by continuing to improve the Road to Progress vision that Murakami initiated during his term.
