At this year's Geneva Motor Show, Korean brand SsangYong debuts the XAVL (a.k.a. the eXciting Authentic Vehicle Long) concept. It is basically a midsize SUV that can seat up to 7 occupants.
Outside, the XAVL reveals a close resemblance with the brand's Tivoli in terms of the headlamp's design. The only difference is the sharp peering headlights of the concept, plus the long strip of LED that crosses the fascia from each headlights. Even more, its sleekness is further accentuated by the edgy character line and fender carvings.
On the other hand, the exterior design is even more justified by the XAVL's cabin. The 7 independent seats are laid out in 2-3-2 configuration, with foldable, slidable 2nd and 3rd rows. Ambience is more comfortable with subtle illumination plus a smart user interface that enables passengers to freely communicate with each other.
Add the fact that the console has got a 10.25-inch full-color LCD display and wifi hotspot, occupants can feel at home on the road.
Meanwhile, XAVL concept's powerplant comes in 2 options: a 1.5L gasoline and a 1.6L diesel engine – both mated with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. On the other hand, power rating is still in the void for the XAVL concept and is yet to be disclosed by SsangYong.
