The haute couture inspired Rolls-Royce Dawn has been released for the Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Although available only in Andalucian White finish with hand-painted coachline, it will be complemented with a vibrant-colored roof and interior trims.
Both haute couture and Rolls-Royce are bound by a common philosophy: to take the finest materials and craft them into being the most exquisite, desirable luxury goods – which is apparently observed in the Dawn’s detailing.
Giles Taylor, director of design for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, hand-picked talented designers from the realms of fashion, who chose the three vibrant colors to match and accentuate the neutral white canvas. These color are Mugello Red, Cobalto Blue, and Mandarin.
Moreover, the subtle accents of these colors in the interior aspects of each bespoke model will add highlight to the contemporary Arctic White and Black color scheme. The Arctic White leather smoothly goes with the headrests’ embroidery, as well as detailed seat stitching. Also, a sophisticated craft technique of fine tailoring is used to join the two colors of leather wrapped around the steering wheel.
The legendary luxurious craftsmanship of Rolls-Royce is evident through the Dawn’s Piano White dashboard that’s furbished with aluminum particles. This high-level styling is achieved through a nine-day meticulous lacquering process. In addition, a bespoke clock is integrated elegantly emitting a silver-on-silver effect.
Meanwhile, the car’s coachdoor pockets are detailed with fine silks inspired by the important attributes of the Dawn: tactility, comfort, and quality. All these are then crowned by the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ – the British marque’s signature emblem, set at precisely 55 degrees.
With regards to the availability of this special edition unit in the Philippines, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Manila has yet to announce whether or when it will be sold for the local stakers.
