Which Kia Crossover is perfect for you

Kia Philippines offers a wide selection of crossovers in its local lineup to fit almost any budget and almost any need. With a total of 4 models and their respective variants to choose from, picking the right crossover can be a hard task. With that in mind, we have made a quick list of the crossovers that the South Korean automaker sells in the Philippine market along with their respective price points and key features to help you pick the right one for your needs.

Kia Stonic

If you are looking for an affordable and feature-packed crossover that comes with a style that’s iconic, then look no further than the Kia Stonic. It’s the ideal entry-level for young professionals or for those looking to get their first car or for families looking to get a second vehicle. It has a competitive price point that’s under P1,000,000 and comes with the modern features you need for an active lifestyle. It comes with key features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard across all of its variants. The Stonic also boasts a special edition model in the form of the Style variant that helps give the crossover a livelier look.

It is powered by a 1.4-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that produces 94 to 98 hp and 132 Nm of torque depending on the variant chosen. The South Korean crossover sends power to the front wheels via either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Paired together the engine and transmission make for a very fuel-efficient combination helping you get the most out of your gas.

Kia Seltos

If you want a little more room in your crossover, then the next vehicle in the local Kia Philippines lineup that you can look into is the Kia Seltos. It comes with the brand’s signature tiger-nose grille design along with an SUV-like front fascia. Like its other crossover brethren within the Kia Philippines lineup, the Seltos comes well equipped and features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto-capable head units as standard for all of its variants. It is priced slightly above the Stonic and is positioned in the P1,100,000 to P1,600,000 price range. It is a great crossover to consider if you want something a little more spacious than the Stonic.

At the heart of the Kia Seltos resides a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter gasoline engine that produces 147 hp and 179 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via an intelligent variable transmission (iVT). This pairing makes for a fuel-efficient combination despite the larger 2.0-liter engine.

Kia Sportage

As the name suggests the Kia Sportage is for those who want a 5-seater crossover and something a little more sporty than the Seltos. While differs in design compared to the newer crossovers that Kia has introduced lately to the Philippine market, it still features a sleek long along with an older version of the brand’s tiger-nose grille and front fascia.

=In terms of features, the Kia Sportage is also very well equipped as it comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard along with others such as a smart entry system, a push to start button, cruise control, and a rear camera to make parking easier.

The Sportage slots above the Seltos in terms of price as it comes with more variants available along with a higher price point of P1,300,000 to 1,800,000 million. While it may seem like it’s a steep asking price for a crossover it does come feature-packed and with an array of engines to choose from. It can be had with either a 2.0-liter gasoline engine that produces 153hp and 192 Nm of torque, or a 2.0-liter turbo diesel motor that pushes out 182 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Kia Sorento

A recent addition to the automaker’s local lineup is the Kia Sorento, this 7-seater crossover is the latest model to feature the brand’s newest design language. It features a much more aggressive and wide look similar to the Seltos but with a much bigger and more imposing body. The large crossover carries with it an 8-inch infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with a 6-speaker sound system with four woofers and two tweeters. It also comes with wireless charging and cruise control as standard. It can also be had with a 360-degree camera if you choose to go with the SX model.

At the heart of the 7-seater crossover is a 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine that produces 197hp and 441 Nm of torque. It sends power to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. While this is the most expensive crossover Kia Philippines has on sale today it does come feature-packed and with all the modern amenities and safety features one might expect from a vehicle of its size in the segment. The Kia Sorento can be had for as low as P2,398,000 for its entry-level EX model, but if you want all the bells and whistles you will need to fork over P2,588,000 for its top-of-the-line model. This crossover is great for those looking to buy a feature-packed 7-seater crossover family vehicle that also gives you a smooth and pleasant ride.
