MG Philippines is a relatively new brand to the local automotive market that has become popular over the past few years thanks to its stellar lineup of vehicles—all of which come at competitive price points and come with great feature sets. With a competitive lineup at the ready, it becomes a difficult task to pick which MG vehicle will best suit you. With that in mind, we have created a shortlist to help you out.

The MG 5 is the only sedan in the brand’s local lineup of vehicles. While it's categorized as a subcompact sedan, the vehicle is one of the largest in its segment.  It comes with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated motor that pushes out 115 hp and 150 Nm of torque. This puts it as one of the power sedans available in its category. The MG 5 is ideal for those who want a well-equipped sedan that comes with a lot of space but is priced affordably.

Sportbacks are a rarity in the Philippine market. These vehicles are often found in the luxury category, however, such isn’t the case with the MG 6. It presents itself as an affordable option for those who want a vehicle with a wider trunk opening that also comes with a great feature set and a sporty driving dynamic.

When it was first launched back in 2019, the MG ZS set the crossover segment by storm by offering you a vehicle that has a great set of features but comes with an affordable price point. The same can be said today as this model continues what it has started. It's a great vehicle to get if you are looking for a crossover that's well-equipped and is priced under P1,000,000. 

This is MG Philippines’ answer to what customers wanted in the ZS. The MG ZST adds a turbocharged motor into the mix but still retains much of the same features as its ZS counterpart. It's a perfect vehicle for the young professional who wants something a little sporty but at an affordable price point.

If you want something a little more professional-looking and a little more relaxed for a crossover then the MG RX5 is the one to get. It has timeless styling and comes with a great feature set to boot. Aside from this, the crossover is also packing some serious power as it comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged motor under the hood. It's a great option for those who want a much larger alternative to the ZS or ZST. 

Rounding up the list is the MG HS. It is the newest entry from the automaker that brings similar styling to the ZS but with a more refined interior and feature set. With great looks, also comes great power as the HS packs a 1.5-liter turbocharged motor under its hood as well. If space is what you are after and with a more refined look then you should consider getting the HS. Not to mention it also comes with an intuitive sport mode if you want to have a more thrilling and dynamic drive.
