Itching to watch some local motorsports action? You’re in luck as the premier grassroots motorsport event called the FlatOut Race Series (FORS) has just released its 2018 event calendar.
This year will feature a total of eight rounds, as well as the endurance races 4 Oras ng Pilipinas and 8 Oras ng Pilipinas providing plenty of opportunities for you to watch local racing. The races will move between Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC) and Clark International Speedway (CIS). Best thing about FORS is that all you have to do is pick a date and watch the races (preferably all) for free.
The 2018 season will also see the introduction of the unlimited class for its time attack sessions called Bracket R. In this class, FORS is challenging participants to setup their machines however they want to in order to break the lap record of BRC and CIS. This means no limits and restrictions for power, tires, and weight.
As of this writing, the fastest lap time at BRC stands at 1:42.650 set by Eduardo Suiza in the Staging Lanes Civic EG Widebody Turbo. On the other hand, the 1:57:870 lap record at CIS is held by Kunihiro Iwatsuki in the Palm Town Garage PTG602 Porsche GT3RS.
