Among the cars that were launched globally, the Mitsubishi Xpander MPV is highly-anticipated by Filipinos. Not a surprise, really, considering the local car-buyers’ love for the Adventure AUV, which the all-new model is bound to replace in Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation’s (MMPC) lineup.
In fact, would-be buyers are getting anxious of its local launch. We’re getting a lot of queries about it through our Facebook and quite frankly, we’re just as excited.
Well, that changes today.
MMPC confirms that the Xpander will hit Philippine shores soon, and it’s now available for pre-booking. Although there’s no confirmed date yet, the diamond brand’s announcement came with reservation dates until April 30, 2018. Looks like the all-new MPV will enter the showrooms some time in May.
So, if you’re one of the many who’s excited about MMPC’s latest MPV, you can place your pre-order now at Xpander’s webpage. A fee of P10,000 will be required in order to secure your reservation.
The 7-seater Xpander is bound to stir up the MPV segment, with a body size that’s bigger than the Avanza but smaller than the Innova. It’s powered by the 1.5L DOHC 16-valve with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control System (MIVEC) engine. There were no output ratings disclosed yet, however, it's confirmed that there will be a variant equipped with manual transmission.
The top-of-the-line trim will be fully-loaded with safety features such as Hill Start Assist (HSA), Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) Body, Active Stability Control (ASC), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), and Anti-Locking Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD).
The Xpander will be priced at; GLX MT (P900,000), GLX Plus AT (P990,000), GLS AT (P1,050,000), and the range-topping GLS Sport AT (P1,100,000). Standard colors across all trims are Titanium Gray Metallic, Sterling Silver Metallic, and Diamond Black Mica. GLX Plus gets the option to choose Quartz White Pearl, while GLS and GLS Sport can be had with Red Metallic body color.
