Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced that there will be a management shake-up in 2 of its key international markets - the Philippines and Australia.
According to MMC, Mitsubishi Motor Philippines Corporation (MMPC) will have Matsuhiro Oshikiri as its new president and CEO. Oshikiri, who was the former president and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL), will succeed MMPC's Yoshiaki Kato.
On the other hand, Kato will move to Australia as Chief Executive Coordinator, and will work with MMAL’s new president and CEO John Signoriello.
"We are strengthening and diversifying our management team around the world, ensuring that we seize future growth opportunities in important markets such as the Philippines and Australia. I look forward to continuing to work with Mr Oshikiri, Mr Signoriello and Mr. Kato in their new roles."
The transition for MMPC between Oshikiri and Kato will take effect on August 1, 2017, while Signoriello assumed MMAL leadership last July 1.
Previous efforts from MMC in the Philippines include the delivery of Outlander PHEV and i-Miev units to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). This is in-line with the brand's initiative to reduce CO2 emissions in the country.
