Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has introduced the Strada GT pickup that boasts a refreshed exterior, a new engine, and a bunch of new safety features.
The Strada GT has a muscular and an aggressive look. Compared to other variants of the said pickup truck, the Strada GT comes with exterior styling tweaks such as the black grille, brush guard, Ralliart skid plate, and roll bars. Moreover, it gets silver fender flares and two-tone wheels. Inside, passenger comfort is highlighted by its black leather seats and class-leading legroom of 1,745 mm.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 2.4L variable geometry turbo (VGT) diesel engine that delivers 181 hp and 430 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission (MT) or a 5-speed automatic (AT) with sports mode. The Strada GT also comes standard with Easy Select 4WD (MT variant) and Super Select 4WD-II (AT variant).
In terms of safety, the Strada GT is equipped with Mitsubishi Active Stability and Traction Control (M-ASTC) system, which assists the driver to maintain control of the vehicle on slippery road surfaces and when applying sudden steering wheel input. It also has brake assist, hill start assist, 7 dual stage SRS airbags.
The 4x4 manual variant of the Strada GT is available for P1,570,000 while the 4x4 automatic model has a price tag of P1,650,000.
