The Hyundai Stargazer is the 5th vehicle to enter the Philippine market under the brand's refreshed lineup from 2022. It marks Hyundai's entry into the seven-seater segment. It is available in four different variants, with all grades of the Stargazer available with seven seats. All models are powered by Hyundai’s Gamma II 1.5-liter gasoline engine that produces 113 hp and 144 Nm of torque. All variants also come with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) as standard. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities are also standard across the model range
Launch
The Hyundai Stargazer was launched for preselling on October 19, 2022, and was made available with three variants at launch. All models come powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline motor, which is paired with Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission. The vehicle also came with an initial starting price of P998,000 for the GL model. It was officially launched to the public on November 2, 2022.
Updated in 2025, the 2026 model-year Stargazer is now available with four variants to choose from. At launch, the facelifted Stargazer line starts at P1,118,000 for the GL Plus IVT, followed by the GLS IVT at P1,228,000. For the Stargazer X line, the X GLS Plus IVT is priced at P1,318,000, followed by the top-of-the-line X Premium IVT at P1,378,000.

Propelling the Hyundai Stargazer is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that produces 113 hp and 144 Nm of torque. All variants of the MPV come equipped with a CVT as its only gearbox option that sends power to the front wheels. It rides on a MacPherson Strut system at the front and a Coupled torsion beam axle suspension system at the rear. Stopping power comes from 15-inch discs at the front and nine-inch drum brakes at the back for the standard Stargazer, while the Stargazer X gets a full set of disc brakes all around.

For its tech, the Hyundai Stargazer GLS and GL come with an eight-inch infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also comes with a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster. All variants of the Stargazer except the GL get six speakers for the interior. The Stargazer X GLS Plus and Premium get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless charger, front and rear parking sensors, and a larger 10.25-inch TFT instrument cluster.
Exterior
The Hyundai Stargazer adopts Hyundai’s latest design language, giving it a bolder and more refined look. Up front, it features a flatter fascia inspired by the Palisade, with a wider grille, full-width light bar, and rectangular headlights replacing the older side-mounted setup. Brushed metal trim and side intakes add a rugged, upscale touch.
Along the sides, new geometric-pattern alloy wheels enhance its modern styling, while sleek, sloping lines maintain its visual link to the Staria.
At the rear, it features H-shaped taillights, now slimmer and cleaner, echoing cues from the Creta and Palisade. A refined Hyundai badge and redesigned bumper complete the updated design.
All variants of the Stargazer except the GL come with LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and a black-and-chrome grille. The GL is fitted with halogen headlights and bulb-type rear combination lamps.
Interior
On the inside, the Hyundai Stargazer comes with a minimalist cabin that has plenty of storage space. Its seats can be had in leatherette or fabric, depending on the model chosen, with a 60:40 split double folding and sliding second row available for all variants. As for its air conditioning system, all variants except the top-spec X Premium come with manual temperature controls, with rear vents also being available to cool the rear passengers. The Stargazer X Premium differentiates itself with automatic climate control.
Safety
The Hyundai Stargazer comes equipped with an impressive set of safety features across its lineup. Standard across all variants are dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), ISOFIX child seat anchors, a child lock, and an engine immobilizer. The GLS variant adds electronic stability control and hill-start assist, further enhancing driver confidence.
For the range-topping Stargazer X Premium, Hyundai offers a more advanced suite of safety technologies. Exclusive features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision-avoidance assist, lane-following assist, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, and front and rear parking sensors. It also adds systems such as High Beam Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Safe Exit Warning, Tire Pressure Monitoring, Manual Speed Limit Assist, Parking Distance Warning, Rear View Monitor, and a Rear Seat Alert with Monitor.
In 2022, the Stargazer was evaluated by ASEAN NCAP, where it earned a four-star overall safety rating. It scored 31.21 points for Adult Occupant Protection, 14.41 for Child Occupant Protection, 12.04 for Safety Assist, and 8.75 for Motorcyclist Safety, totaling 66.48 points overall.

I love the safety features of the car and the power. The issue I have is with build quality. The dash has vibrated since I bought the vehicle. We have had it to the service center multiple times and for days at a time and it is still not fixed. It is a two hour drive to the dealer for us and we have spent a lot of money driving and staying in hotels. Recently the vehicle has started creaking and rattling in the back as well. Maybe I bought a lemon and others are fine but I can not in good conscious recommend this vehicle.
I can definitely recommend our salesman Fivel Condor though, he has gone above and beyond to help my wife and I with everything related to the vehicle and financing. I would buy from him again.

Hyundai Stargazer GLS Premium is a perfect family car for us. Very spacious even on the 3rd row seat. Some of the Hyundai SmartSense feature takes time to get used to but they surely make me feel safe. Everyone who looks and tried the interior were surprised by the luxurious look and very ample space. Air-conditioning is very good and the blower at the second row sure helps. Exterior is not for everybody as it is very futuristic and some compared it to a spaceship but it really grows on you. All in all, this is a good buy.

Car is great but dealer is not.
- The are no reminders for PMS
- Service takes 3 hours. This would have been ok if there was a decent lounge. They should provide free Wi-Fi and snacks (or at least a chance to purchase them)
- Ang sikip ng casa. Mahirap pumasok tsaka lumabas. No one will even assist you going out.
