BYD Philippines introduces a range of electric-powered material handling equipment. These come in the form of electric forklifts, reach trucks, pallet trucks, and electric stackers. These come with long life and cost-effective Lithium-Ion Iron Phosphate batteries and offer a maintenance-free experience. Having these types of equipment in your business offers you better efficiency, safety, and an overall smaller carbon footprint. BYD also has the distinction of being the first company in the world to make lithium-ion iron phosphate batteries for forklifts.
The battery itself comes with a proprietary management system. It also features charging cycles that take less than 2.5 hours to complete. With this system's rapid recharge feature, the time-consuming process it takes to fully charge a battery has been reduced. You no longer need to swap out the batteries when they require charging. Swapping them out can be a heavy, hazardous and time-consuming process.
The battery capacity varies from model to model, but BYD states that these batteries are totally safe and secure. The charging rate of the batteries will depend on the environment. It has an optimal charging temperature range of 40-degrees all the way up to negative 60-degrees. Even with these extreme conditions, the batteries do not need any modifications to charge.
The batteries do not need to be serviced or maintained and will function in even the toughest working conditions. The batteries also do not explode when pierced, burned, and when overcharged. The batteries also do not fail when a short circuit occurs.
Worried about battery life span? BYD says that the can last up to 10 years. These can be charged for 4,000 cycles. A charge cycle is the process of recharging and discharging a battery. A cycle is completed when the entire capacity is used up. When the batteries reach the end of its life span it can be recycled and used for other things.
