The Nissan Navara range will soon be expanded with a flagship trim known as the PRO-4X Warrior. Its packaging is not just for show as the special variant is certainly more capable compared to other Navaras—at least on paper.
Premcar is Nissan’s partner in developing this off-road machine. Notably, they were the same team behind the 2019 Nissan Navara N-TREK Warrior. Like its predecessor, the current Warrior is “designed to deliver vehicles that share those attributes, without sacrificing safety, technology or on-road comfort.”
In order to conquer those challenging terrains, the new Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior comes with some aesthetic and functional upgrades such as a steel front bumper with an LED strip at the center. It’s also fitted with a red bash bar that’s decorated with the Navara nameplate, this additional panel should serve as an added protection for the engine and under chassis from rust and other debris.
On the side, you’ll notice it has a different set of wheels that does match its rugged looks. Plus, this special variant also comes with a roll bar and the additional PRO-4X Warrior graphics. Granted this variant is designed for the Australian market, it then carries a 2.3-liter Twin-turbo diesel engine—not yet available in the Philippines. Though, it is worth noting that the PRO-4X Warrior comes with an upgraded suspension system along with a lift kit in order to elevate the midsize pickup’s off-road capability.
We're taking all the key improvements made by Nissan on the Navara PRO-4X, like its impressive NVH levels, steering quality, extensive safety equipment and core dual-cab functionality, and we're overlaying those updates with our own in-house engineering expertise to create the toughest and most capable Navara in the world.
Like its predecessor, the 2021 Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior shall set the bar high in Australia once it's finally available. Hoping that Nissan Philippines would consider bringing ‘the world’s toughest Navara’, as the PRO-4X Warrior does seem like a competitor to the mighty Ford Ranger Raptor.
