Nissan self-parking slippers

Japan is known for its spine-chilling tales and eerie horror movies. In Hakone, Japan, there’s a traditional-themed hotel called ProPILOT Park Ryokan, where the amenities unusually move on their own. But don’t fret just yet, as there’s no black magic or ghosts involved, only technology.

Inspired by Nissan’s self-driving innovation, the slippers, tables, and floor cushions in the hotel are integrated with the special version of the Japanese brand’s ProPILOT Park autonomous parking technology. When not in use, these things automatically return to their designated places by just pushing a button. Yes, it’s the same technology found in the all-new Nissan LEAF.

If you happen to be in Japan, Nissan offers a free night for one lucky pair of travelers at the ProPILOT Park Ryokan. For a chance to win, all you have to do is to post something on Twitter with a hashtag #PPPRyokan and #wanttostay until February 10.
