Taal volcano’s recent eruption has brought about an ashfall that has affected several parts of Luzon. This deadly mix of fine particles can wreak havoc on a vehicle’s paint and engine. To help Ford vehicle owners affected by the ashfall, the Blue Oval is offering special discounts on parts and labor.

Customers who will bring their affected Ford vehicles to a Ford dealership in Luzon starting January 22 to February 29, 2020 can avail of a 20% discount on labor and parts such as wiper blades, air filter, and cabin/pollen filter.

These three components are essential in keeping your vehicle running smoothly and your vision of the road unimpeded. Wiper blades that aren’t in top condition or are otherwise damaged can create scratches on your windshield. They also have reduced efficiency and can even severely limit the driver’s vision when the vehicle encounters rain.

Dirty air filters can slowly starve an engine of air reducing its ability to make power. An engine that can’t breathe properly has to work harder to make power, causing it to consume more fuel and experience more wear and tear. A damaged filter may even let fine materials into the engine itself that could wreak damage to the internals. Having a clean and intact filter is essential to having your engine running smoothly and efficiently.

A clean cabin/pollen filter ensures that air getting into the vehicle is dirt and dust-free. Just like an engine, we need a clean source of air in order for our lungs to work properly. If these filters are clogged, it could force the air conditioning system to work harder wearing out parts faster.

If owners want to get their vehicles serviced or repaired they can head to any of the Blue Oval’s participating dealerships that include Alabang, Balintawak, Commonwealth, EDSA Greenhills, Global City, Libis, Makati, Manila, Manila Bay, Marikina, and Quezon Avenue in Metro Manila and Metro Baguio, Batangas, Baliuag, Cabanatuan, Cainta, Calamba, Cavite, Clark, Dagupan, Ilocos Norte, Isabela, Laguna, Malolos, Marilao, Naga, Pampanga, Sta. Rosa, Subic, and Tarlac in Luzon.
