We guess it's safe to say that the British are good at building cars. The UK is home to 15 automotive marques (8 of which are sports cars) and 8 Formula 1 teams. That's why we have the GREAT British Auto Show, so that they could flaunt the best of British motoring.
Organized by the British Embassy Manila, the GREAT British Auto Show will put on display about 40 classic and modern vehicles – all proudly made in Britain. They're doing this to “highlight the industry's rich heritage, technology, and innovation.”
The shortlist include brands such as Jaguar, Land Rover, MINI, Morgan, MG, and Rolls Royce, which will either come from their respective local distributors, various car clubs, or private owners. But sadly, Bentley, Aston Martin, McLaren, and Lotus won't be part of the show... or at least that's what we think.
“Over the past few years, the presence of British car brands in the Philippines has almost doubled, and more brands like Aston Martin and Lotus are setting up shop here. Britain now makes more cars than ever before. Come to the GREAT British Auto Show and you will find a vehicle that suits your personality, whether you are quirky, stylish, low-key, high-profile, or prefer to go off road,” said British Ambassador Asif Ahmad.
Aside from seeing the beautiful pieces of art on 4-wheels, the GREAT British Auto Show will also have fun activities and food and drink stalls throughout the day.
Here's your chance to get up close and personal with these British icons, this May 31, 2015 (Sunday) from 10:00AM to 6:00PM at the Capitol Commons in Pasig City. Admission is free.
