Porsche, Mercedes-Benz

No, we won’t be seeing a new curvy sports coupe with a three-pointed star emblem on it. Porsche and Mercedes-Benz joined hands by giving their patrons a treat when they visit their state-of-the-art car museums.

The two car companies have their headquarters situated in Stuttgart, Baden–Württemberg, Germany. Their car museums are located there as well, which makes their partnership feasible. The deal is that visitors who will present their entrance ticket to one of the museums will get 25% discount on their ticket to the other.

Moreover, both car companies will be swapping their classic models as their “ambassador” to promote visiting both museums. A 1966 Mercedes-Benz W 111 230 S will be on display on Porsche’s museum located in Zuffenhausen. On other hand, the Mercedes-Benz museum in Bad Cannstatt will showcase a 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7.

Stuttgart has not one but two great car museums. It's unique and a real stroke of luck. Many visitors tell us that the museums are the only reason they travel to Stuttgart. We are honouring this with a joint campaign," says Christian Boucke, Head of Mercedes-Benz Classic and Customer Centre.

Achim Stejskal, Head of the Porsche Museum and Historic PR added that the two exhibits complement each other perfectly as the brand’s history can be experienced in both museums. It also emphasizes the good neighborly relations between the two brands.

Of note, this offer will be available until 30th of December this year.
