Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone refuel or wash your car for you? Wouldn't it be great if you don't need to waste your whole day at the service center for scheduled maintenance? With this in mind, Volvo Cars released its concierge service called Volvo On Call which aims to do all these and more for their customers.
With a tap of a finger, Volvo owners now have the ability to avail on-demand services such as having your car refuelled, washed, brought in for maintenance, and even returned to your desired location. Moreover, customers can have their vehicles moved to another area by providing a secure digital key to an authorized Volvo concierge driver.
In a research conducted by the Swedish carmaker, it showed that over 70% of customers want fuelling services at their fingertips and 56% want their vehicles picked up for maintenance. In addition, 49% would like their vehicles moved to another location when desired.
Imagine parking your car in the morning at work and when you head home your car has been serviced, cleaned, and refuelled. These are the kind of services we want to deliver to our customers. Our research shows that people spend hours every week doing these small errands – we want to give that time back to Volvo drivers, so they can do something more valuable instead,” said Björn Annwall, Senior Vice President, Global Consumer Experience at Volvo Car Group.
Here’s the catch, this app-based service is available to 300 invited owners of the XC90 SUV and S90 luxury sedan residing at San Francisco, USA. Furthermore, Volvo also hasn’t laid out its plans on when they will fully launch the On Call service.
