Word of mouth goes a long way, and to help car buyers to make a choice they won’t regret, expert and owner reviews are both on AutoDeal.com.ph. We review cars all the time, but real owners can offer different perspectives and one that paints a more detailed picture of the ownership experience.
Whether it’s the short-term or the long-term reviews you crave, we have it, and they’re worth checking out.
Where to find owner reviews on AutoDeal
First, pick a car, any car. It could be one that you’re eyeing or one that you’re comparing against another. Check the “reviews” section of our car guide and look for the orange box. From there, look at the top of that box and click “owner reviews.” Whether it is a Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Ford, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, or any car that’s sold in the Philippines, there’s bound to be a review.
This tab will take you away from our take on the car, and give you a clear picture of real owners and their experiences with the particular model. We’ve seen some owners submitting entire paragraphs praising or criticizing the car. Either that or we’ve seen short and sweet reviews that say that it is just good. Either way, browse to your heart’s content here, and like all savvy buyers, make sure to take a look at any negatives as well.
The buyer’s perspective
Admittedly, our reviews on the website often span a short period of time. Owner reviews can cover a more longitudinal “test period,” and encompass an actual customer’s long-term experience with a vehicle. Being able to see things like how the car holds up in the long term, the maintenance experience at the dealer, to the overall longevity of the car is useful consumer information that must be noted.
Whether servicing a vehicle is expensive or affordable is also another consideration, and this is a topic that is sometimes gone over in an owner review. Other key factors in a car buyer’s review also include long-term fuel economy, overall performance in the hands of a normal driver, and also the practicality of a car. Owners also tend to share their first few experiences and their most recent experiences leading up to the six-month review, which will give you an idea of just what adventures the car can complete, and what it can achieve for you.
Key points covered in an owner review
To make things more specific, we ask owners to rate their cars according to fuel economy, driving performance, comfort, style and looks, interior features, and interior space. Doing this allows you to get different perspective on the car that you're eyeing.
Everything is scored out of five and half-points are also considered. The rating is an average of all the scores. Then, all user reviews are then tabulated and averaged out to form the overall user review score, which will be prominently displayed on the review page of our car guides.
All cars, and all verified users
As long as the car is sold in the Philippines through AutoDeal.com.ph it can be reviewed by any buyer. On top of that, we also make sure that only verified buyers have the ability to review their cars.
Following the initial review, verified buyers will then be asked to review their car after six months, prompting them for a long-term review of the car. This added dimension is another bit of useful information for other consumers, possibly providing important insights on the service, quality, and reliability of an automobile.
