The Worldbex Services International (WSI) the company behind the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) has released an official statement regarding the rescheduling of the auto show. MIAS is one of the popular automotive events that happen in the country. It is where automotive manufacturers have the chance to display their latest and greatest vehicles available on the market today. Sadly, however, the event has been postponed until further notice. The original date of the automotive event was supposed to be on April 2-5, 2020.
In its official statement WSI says that the rescheduling was done in light of the recent events regarding the COVID-19 outbreak. This has to lead to the management team to come to the decision to temporarily postpone MIAS 2020 to a later date. The company states that the rescheduling was done in order to help prevent the spread of the virus and to ensure the utmost safety of all the stakeholders, exhibitors, and visitors.
The conclusion to reschedule the auto show was made after extensive and careful consideration of the current situation. It was also made with WSI’s commitment in mind to cooperate with the government’s efforts to contain the spread of the COVID-19. WSI asks for the public’s understanding during these trying times.
WSI wants to thank everyone who has taken part in the preparations for MIAS 2020 and those who have expressed their commitment and support for the company’s endeavors. The company would like to assure all concerned that the event will be held at a later date when the public’s safety can be assured.
There is no official announcement yet as to when the auto show will be moved to but expect it to be within the coming months. While it’s unfortunate that the show had to be rescheduled, its a loss that WSI was willing to take all for public health and safety.
