Chery Philippines is now offering N95 as standard for its upper lineup of Tiggo crossover models. The Chery Tiggo 5x, Tiggo 7, and Tiggo 8 now all come with third-generation N95 AC-cabin filter technology. These filters are made from the latest cutting-edge manufacturing and material technologies. The filters utilize a fine mesh of synthetic electrostatic polymer or otherwise known as polypropylene. The synthetic fibers are what forms the inner filtration layer of the N95 cabin filter. Current second-generation cabin filters are only capable of filtering out air that has a particulate matter size of 2.5 or higher which helps keep dirt and dust out of the cabin, however, it doesn’t help filter out germs. This is where the N95 cabin filters have an advantage.
The N95 standard is among one of the highest respirator ratings set by the United States National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. The filter is capable of filtering 95% of airborne particles that measure 0.3 microns or higher. The cabin filter for these crossovers works in three phases of filtration. The first phase is a percolator filter that blocks larger particles like dust and outdoor pollution. The second phase is an electrostatic fine fiber mesh that filters out particles as small as 0.3 microns with a 95% efficiency. The third and final phase is a lawyer of activated charcoal, this layer helps filter out harmful gases and deodorizes peculiar smells. The filter is also capable of dehydrating and removing moisture from the air inside the cabin which greatly reduces the lifespan of most germs.
Having a vehicle equipped with an N95 filter especially during times when cleanliness becomes paramount is an advantage. These filters will not only keep your vehicle clear from dirt and dust, but it will also help filter out any germs that may make their way into your vehicle.
