The country’s bravest drivers and teams will be competing for motorsports glory at the inaugural GT Radial x 4 Oras ng Pilipinas endurance race on June 3 to 4, 2017.
For 4 hours straight, teams of 2 to 6 drivers will race around the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC). The goal is simple, the entry with the most laps by the time expires wins the race. This motorsports event will also serve as the proving ground and prerequisite for the upcoming 8-Oras ng Pilipinas slated this November.
Aside from the on-track wheel-to-wheel action, this free event is expected to thrill spectators with pits stops, driver changes, re-fuelling, safety cars, and tire changes.
On the other hand, interested teams can now register until May 31, 2017 for a fee of P30,000. Those who will sign-up on or before May 15 will get to enjoy an early bird discount of P5,000.
There will be 4 categories available for teams to join which will include the RP Class wherein race cars can duke it out. Slightly modified street cars that pump out more than 150 hp can join the FM-1 class while those with less may sign-up for FM-2.
Meanwhile, those with stock vehicles can still participate in the Manufacturer’s Cup but must be fitted with safety equipment. This gives everyone the chance to experience this gruelling event.
