With the recent unveiling of the Thai facelifted mu-X, the local Isuzu SUV flagship gets its own different shot of excitement. Isuzu Philippines Corporation’s (IPC) is lining up the Black Series variant with the existing mu-X units.
Among the features that makes this variant stand out from its line up are the Cosmic Black grille, gloss black roof rails, and black side stepboards. In addition to this sleek detailing is the 2-tone bumper with Cosmic Black lower half. More Black Series elements extend to the rear with the black tailgate design, while a set of 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels completes the overall exterior look.
Inside the mu-X Black Edition's doors, carbon fiber detailing accentuates the luxurized interior, such as the key cover and other panels. The doors also received eye-catching styling with its chrome inside handles, while soft-padded center console and armrests add comfort for its occupants. Even more, there's an organizer box that adds to the vehicle's storage compartments.
More improvements for the car include the projector-type multi-reflector headlamps with daytime running lights, turn indicator-integrated side mirrors in chrome finish, and the roof gets a center mounted antenna. Inside features include an 8-inch touchscreen display with navigation and 6-way power adjust leather seats. What differs it from other mu-X is the 10-inch video monitor that is mounted on the ceiling.
Horses remain in their stable as it still bears the 3.0L diesel engine that unleashes 163 hp at 3,200 rpm and 380 Nm of torque at 2,200 rpm. This power is paired with Isuzu's existing 5-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift.
Price for the mu-X Black Series is at P1,568,000 and is now available in your Isuzu dealerships nationwide. It’s available in 2 colors: Cosmic Black and Garnet Red.
