Hyundai Motor blows their own lid when it comes to the 4th generation Santa Fe. The South Korean marque releases an official teaser sketch of the SUV, which shows its sleek shape, still conforming to the Fluidic Sculpture design language of the company.
Aside from that, there are no concrete details about the upcoming 2019 Santa Fe. The carmaker, however, reveals that the SUV will come with an industry-first safety feature called Rear-Occupant Monitor, which has first made waves in 2017.
The new tech is developed to check the rear seats in order to detect passengers and warn the driver when one of them leaves the car. That’s actually pretty handy if you’re kind of confused with your passengers, I guess?
Kidding aside, the South Korean automaker also integrated emergency braking with the 2019 Santa Fe’s Rear-Cross Traffic Collision Warning. You know, just in case you ignore its audible and visual signs.
Although, there are questions lingering in our minds right now. Will there be a 7-seater Grand Santa Fe? Will it come out differently with a new grille, considering the increasing number of cars with hexagonal grilles?
We may have to wait a few more weeks before we can answer those questions since the all-new Santa Fe will be unveiled globally this February. It will also make an official debut at the Geneva International Motor Show in March. Until then, we may have to settle with these facts that they shared.
