Rainforest Challenge (RFC) is a sports and adventure event held in Malaysia for thrill-seeking extreme off-road drivers who desire a taste of forest adventure. Since November of 1997, participants and media from around the world—Philippines included—gather to experience the trials of jungle off-roading.
Such a challenge requires at least above-average skills, considering that Malaysia and Philippines share the same tropical conditions. More importantly, cars need to be fitted with tires that can really do the job – that’s where Fuel Autotek Philippines comes in.
In support of our local team, Deestone Tires' official distributor in the country, Fuel Autotek Philippines (FAPH), partnered with RFC PH to provide tires for the crew's vehicles. FAPH supplied the team with the Deestone Mud Clawer R408 tire range, which were fitted on the Land Rover Discovery and Defender support vehicles.
“We are pleased that we were able to participate in such a prestigious and globally renowned event to showcase the capability of our Deestone Mud Clawer Tire range. We are also proud and thrilled to share that the Deestone Mud Clawer R408 range performed exceptionally in the clay and rock riddled jungle trails of the Malaysian rainforest."
More so, FAPH also provided technical training and assistance to the team during the local qualifying race that was held in Pampanga last August 2017, and the Malaysian Grand Finals.
The Mud Clawer tire line, which is purposely designed to perform in the toughest off-road terrain, is available in all leading tire shops and dealers nationwide. It varies in size from 15 inches to 20 inches and is applicable to SUVs and pickup trucks.
