Sojitz G Auto Philippines the distributor of Geely in the Philippines has announced that all of the brand’s vehicles that will come out of its dealerships will now come with a high-efficiency filtration system. The new system will now feature CN95 cabin filters. These filters specialize in filtering out airborne microbial and inert particles. It can block at least 95% of very small particulate matter. With the new filters, this means that the Coolray and Azkarra can now effectively filter out dust, harmful gases, particulate matter with a size of 2.5 or higher, and droplets with a diameter larger than .74 microns.
In its home country of China, Geely is the first automaker to have the air purification system in its vehicles which are certified by the German TUV Rheinland Group. The move for safer filters now goes beyond crash safety as the world slowly adapts to the “new normal” where passenger safety now includes health and well-being against viruses and other harmful bacteria.
The introduction of Geely vehicles with higher efficiency cabin filtration systems is just very relevant amid the pandemic that the world is battling against. We want to give our valued customers a better quality of life by producing healthier products. This could give more security to our consumers as we slowly drive our way and adjust to the ‘new normal’ after the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Takayama continues by stating that “Current Coolray owners also don’t have to worry, as we are going to upgrade their cars with these CN95 filters free of charge. They just have to call our dealer for an appointment after the ECQ is lifted”.
CN95 air filters
The filter can easily block out particles that are 0.3 microns in diameter which blocks out 95% of particulate matter in the air and is most effective against medium pollutants such as smoke, dust, and bacteria. It can also effectively filter out 0.74 microns droplets absorbed by the Coronavirus. To add to this the filter can also filter out the particulate matter with a size of 2.5 or higher with an interception efficiency of 99.9%. The filter comes also with capabilities that remove odors, sterilizes the air, and removes formaldehyde.
