Maxus Philippines formally launches the G10 with Assist package to empower the elderly and the mobility challenged with the pretense that it will help you to “take care of the ones you want to take care of the most.”
The G10 Assist package features a swivel chair that swings in and out of the vehicle. The swivel chair can be controlled via an app currently only available for iOS devices or via an inbuilt wired remote control attached to the mechanism itself.
The swivel chair itself does not impede the cabin space in the minivan. It takes up the same amount of space as a normal captain’s seat. The feature lets people be loaded into the vehicle immediately before setting off. The mechanism will take a full minute to bring the captain’s chair in or out of the vehicle. The seat can even be run without the car being started up but it may strain the battery if repeatedly done without the vehicle running. While this might take a while, it's still a leap forward in terms of granting access.

The package price only covers only one PWD seat, however, upon asking the sales representatives and managers during the event, the G10 can be equipped with the Assist package on either side of the vehicle. For those concerned about wheelchair space, the fourth row of the minivan can be folded allowing for greater space in the rear. The caveat is that these seats cannot tumble forward so cargo will need to be placed on top of the folded seats. Not perfect, but a step in the right direction.

Poweringt G10 is a 1.9-liter turbodiesel engine that produces 148 hp and 350 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The minivan has seating for nine even with the addition of the Assist package. The vehicle comes with a preventative maintenance schedule for the first 5,000 km and every succeeding 10,000kms after or once a year, whichever comes first. It also has a warranty for three years or 100,000 km, which covers the Assist package as well. Buyers of the G10 are also entitled to 24/7 emergency roadside assistance as well as a pick-up and delivery service. Corporate fleet accounts also get the bonus of onsite servicing.
The standard variant of the G10 minivan starts at P1,680,000. The Assist package is available at an additional cost of P399,800. The total price of the G10 with the Assist package will cost you about P2,079,800.
