Petron nabs DOTC-TRB award for Most Gender Responsive Facilities

Every year, the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) awards the best and cleanest establishments operating our local expressways. In 2015, Petron Corporation and its mega stations along NLEX and SLEX managed to best 14 other stations, placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the TRB’s annual recognition.

Namely, they are Petron San Pedro located along SLEX, and Petron Marilao and Petron Bocaue along NLEX.

The award is given to stations and locators that offer clean and varied facilities to meet the needs of women, men, children and persons with disabilities. Falling under the Gender and Development program of the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), service facilities on expressways should be well-maintained and should provide, among others, separate and family restrooms, urinals and sinks for children, diaper changing areas, PWD compliant cubicles, readily available tissue, and sanitary napkin machines.

Aside from these criteria, the evaluation also ensures that these stations comply with the DOTC’s revised design, cleanliness, and condition standards set for toilet facilities and waiting areas.

Already in its second year, the winners of this award are based on TRB interviews with motorists to gather feedback and suggestions.

With a network of around 2,200 service stations in the country, Petron offers more than just fuels. Partner shops, ATMs, and vehicle servicing are readily available to customers and motorists.

“This well-deserved recognition is a testament to our commitment to attend to the unique needs of motorists and their families and transform Petron stations into one-stop havens for our customers,” Petron General Manager Lubin B. Nepomuceno said.

“At Petron, the customer is always first,” he added.
