Chery Philippines, thanks to its competitive lineup of crossovers in the country, has recently announced that its sales have skyrocketed by 351 percent in the first six months of 2021 compared to the same period last year. This is in part due to the brand’s rapidly expanding dealership network and its push to provide great vehicle after-sales services.
The growth of the automaker can be attributed to the introduction of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro which accounts for 37 percent of the brand’s sales in the Philippines in the first six months of 2021. The crossover comes feature-packed and with an attractive price tag that many have come to enjoy. With that in mind, Chery expects a sustained demand for the vehicle from July 2021 onwards.
Another sales driver for the automotive brand in the country is its entry-level vehicle the Chery Tiggo 2. The sales of the crossover account for 33 percent of the brand’s sales for 2021. It comes with a very affordable price tag and unique two-tone paint jobs that help separate it from the rest of the competition.
We are buoyed by the strong interest and demand for our CHERY Tiggo models, particularly the all-new Tiggo 7 PRO and Tiggo 2. Together with the subcompact Tiggo 5X and the luxurious midsize flagship 7-seater Tiggo 8, they propel the brand's vision of establishing CHERY as the leading crossover brand in the Philippines.
A factor that may have help Chery Auto Philippines a lot when it comes to its sale success is its unchanged vehicle pricing. Unlike other brands in the country that have adjusted their vehicle pricing for the safeguard duty tax, Chery has chosen to retain its pricing. Aside from this, the automaker is also offering great discounts on its models ranging from P75,000 to P120,000. The dealership network for the automaker is also further expanding making it even easier for and interested buyer to get their hands on a Tiggo crossover. To date, the Chery dealership network has expanded to 19 full-service facilities nationwide.
