It may seem that the Chinese market has got some serious perks. Apart from the 2021 MG 5 which was previously showcased in several photos, the brand is also expanding its current lineup with a mysterious MG SUV, no specific name yet though, as the teaser photo only denotes the acronym ‘SUV’.

Upon examining the photo, you’ll notice that the styling of the frontend somewhat resembles the upcoming MG 5, especially the grille and headlights. The rear on the other hand is equally as sleek and stylish as the front, all thanks to its taillights which features a distinctive pattern of LEDs.
By the looks of it, this will be perhaps the latest design language to be supported by the upcoming models of the brand. Some sources say that this model might just be an updated MG HS, given the close resemblance of the rear taillights. If that’s true, then the model shall sport a new frontend. The interior, on the other hand, was not shown just yet. Perhaps, the brand might consider providing succeeding teasers for its upcoming SUV in order to slowly unravel this unsolved mystery.
On the other hand, if these photos will render a different SUV, then it might as well come with the company’s 1.5 or 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine. As per our source, these engines remain speculative for now, as it is still an entirely unknown SUV.
MG Motor has been generating quite a bit of a progress lately, with two new models set to cater the Chinese market. While this model remains a closed mystery, further information shall be released perhaps in a few days or so. Again, we might grasp some succeeding teasers or any other information with regards to MG's upcoming SUV, so for now it’s best to just keep your eyes peeled and stay tuned for some juicy updates.
