After a long wait, Mercedes-Benz finally releases a teaser video of the legendary G-Class in its new form. Well, not entirely new as it retains its predecessor’s classic boxy appearance. Talk about DNA.
The video below highlights the SUV’s toughness to withstand time, which even come with their official hashtag. Watch:
Last December, Mercedes Benz claims that the all-terrain vehicle embodies an improved assistance systems for safety, comfort, as well as superb handling and iconic design. With that said, drivers can control the full infotainment system without taking their hands off the steering wheel, thanks to its touch-sensitive Touch Control Buttons placed on the steering wheel itself. The said feature can function by just swiping motions, just like using touchscreen smartphones.
Additionally, drivers can also use touchpad without taking their eyes off the road with the help of haptic impulse and feedback from the on-board speakers. It also acquires a new instrument panels that features a tube-look analogue dials as standard.
The German marque also mentioned that the luxury SUV has increased its body dimension, which will then give occupants a more spacious legroom.
How about the new G-class engine, you ask? Well, there are no further information about that yet. Bad thing, you have to keep the agony a little bit longer for complete details, as the classic SUV will debut on January 15, 2018 at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
