Apparently, Vision Petron – the award-winning national student art competition of Petron Corporation – is turning 15 this year as they welcome a fresh batch of entries. And the theme for 2015 is “Lakbay Kasiyahan: Our Journey of Happiness.”
As Petron explains it, the new motif aims to highlight the cheerful character of the Filipinos. Because time and time again, the people of our nation have proven that we can survive any bad situation, natural disaster, or tragedy and come out smiling. Simply put, we're the happiest group of people on this planet.
'Kasiyahan' (or pleasure as Google translates it) can come from many thing, in all shapes and sizes. It can be from our faith, relationship with family and friends, good health, music, freedom, food, and fiestas just to name a few. But what's important here is to be able to turn that 'kasiyahan' into art.
Now accepting entries, the 2015 Vision Petron competition is open to all talented students, aged 16 to 28 years old, and enrolled in a regular university or college course that's involved in tutorial art, photography, or video.
