Less than a month to go before Volkswagen Philippines launches its most anticipated release to date. The T-Cross is the newest model that will make it to the lineup, which hasn’t had a new nameplate since the introduction of the new models. Pre-orders are already being taken by AC Motors, and you can get one for P30,000 off if you buy now.
In a press release from AC Motors, the Volkswagen T-Cross is officially here in the country. The team at Volkswagen took these photos of four VW T-Cross units that are quite literally fresh off the boat. The cars pictured are in the top-of-the-line SE variant, and it’s safe to say that these are the brightest of the bunch. VW Philippines is emphasizing the youth and the trendy design of the crossover with some bright colors. The T-Cross is a very youthful crossover, that has compact dimensions a generous serving of tech that allows it to appeal to young professionals, and perhaps young families looking for a car that can pretty much do it all.
The color options presented are called Romance Red, Chinchilla Gray, Syringa Violet, and Tribu. We’re particularly fond of the poster color, Tribu, weird name aside, the brightest color of the bunch is definitely eye-catching and complements the design of the crossover. It’s fun and bright, which matches the personality of the T-Cross well.
As to the performance, You get a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that produces 111 hp and 145 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
By May 26, 2021, Volkswagen Philippines will hold the launch event for the T-Cross online. Again, the company has also opened up the reservation list in case you don’t want to wait and want to get your T-Cross from the dealership as soon as it drops. The price for the T-Cross starts at just P1,098,000. Again, there is a P30,000 discount if you reserve your unit before the launch date.
