Ford entered the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show with a little gem that had us brimming with big smiles. It’s the awesome Ford Fiesta ST200 and as this video shows; it’s the wildest Fiesta ST the blue oval brand has ever made.
How wild? According to Ford UK, this thing can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. If given enough road and commitment from the driver, the hot hatch would eventually reach a maximum velocity of 230 km/h.
This is all thanks to a potent 1.6L EcoBoost gasoline engine with a 6-speed manual transmission that pushes 200 hp and 290 Nm of torque. The engine can also engage an overboost feature for up to 20 seconds, increasing the output to 215 hp and 320 Nm.
Here’s the rest of the video to see it in action. We’re pretty sure most of you are as excited as we are for the Fiesta ST200’s global journey. When? Only Ford knows. Enjoy watching.
