Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) introduced minor upgrades for the Civic RS Turbo.
The upgrades include a speed sensing door lock system that automatically locks all doors when the vehicle reaches 15 km/h. It now also comes with power folding side mirrors.
The Civic RS Turbo gets a P10,000 price increase for the said upgrades. As such, it now retails at P1,413,000 for the base variant, while the Modulo and Modulo Sport is tagged at P1,460,000 and P1,525,000 respectively.
Earlier this year, Honda did the same upgrade with the Civic 1.8 E variant. Same features were added as upgrades to the car as well as a new remote engine start function, which is standard in the 1.5 RS Turbo update.
The updated compact sedan still houses the 1.5L DOHC VTEC Turbo engine with 173 hp and 220 Nm of torque. This powerplant is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters.
With a colorful history behind its nameplate, the Civic is one of Honda's well known vehicle. It has earned the reputation of combining performance and reliability through the years and is considered to be responsible for earning the company a place in the global automotive industry.
