The EasyTrip Stick It Yourself RFID kits initially made their appearance back in August of 2020 and were purchasable online via e-commerce sites. This lets motorists stick RFIDs on their cars from the comfort of their own homes. However, these were later removed due to issues with the instructions provided with the kits. With less than a month left before the extended deadline of December 1, 2020 approaches many motorists are rushing to get their RFIDs.
Due to the sheer volume of applicants trying to beat the deadline, long queues have formed at multiple installation locations resulting in long lines as well as traffic in the area. With that in mind, the EasyTrip Services Corporation is set to relaunch its Stick it Yourself RFID kits. The relaunch of the kits will help provide motorists with another option of getting their RFIDs without the need to line up for hours in order to get one. It will be as simple as ordering and receiving an item from your favorite online e-commerce store.
Along with the relaunch of the kits, the EasyTrip Service Corporation (ESC) also has plans to release more dedicated machines for reloading as well as having more online facilities to help customers. The move will hopefully help expedite the process making sure that everyone can get their hands on an RFID sticker much easier than before. ESC has also stated that it will initially relaunch its kits starting with Shopee then later on with Lazada as they are still negotiating with them.
ESC has yet to release more information about when they plan on relaunching the new kits along with their proposed pricing. However, we assume that this will happen in the coming weeks as the deadline for a cashless tollway system quickly approaches. We will update you once the cashless system provider gives out more information as to the availability of the kits.
