Without looking at the other vehicles sales figure from other brands, It’s safe to say that it has been a fruitful year for Ford Philippines – selling more than 10,000 vehicles by the end of November 2018, with the Ranger pickup truck leading the way.
As such, the Blue Oval brand pays it forward by conducting an outreach program to various Gawad Kalinga (GK) villages in Bulacan. Over 200 kids attended the joyous event, all excited to participate in the games prepared by Ford PH and receive their Christmas gifts from the company.
Together with the Ford Everest Club of the Philippines (FECP), a handful of motoring journalists joined the fun and exciting activities laid out to let the kids experience the season of giving. Everyone, including the gifts, was ferried by the brand’s best-selling nameplates such as the refreshed EcoSport and Ranger, as well as the Everest, led by FECP.
Christmas has always been a very special occasion for Filipinos, and at Ford, we always make time to spread the Christmas cheer especially to kids who have been eagerly waiting for this season. It has been a great experience for everyone and we look forward to reaching out to more kids and more GK villages in the years to come.
EJ Francisco, AVP for Communications of Ford Philippines, also added that the invitation to join the CSR event was extended to FECP because of the club’s active and independent participation in outreach events. The group has been leading a lot of corporate social responsibility (CSR) events, using their own Everests to transport goods and donations to various parts of the country.
Personally, it was a humbling experience as you can readily feel the joy and warmth from each child that attended the GK outreach. I’m looking forward to the next CSR event by Ford PH.
Ford PH has been actively participating in these CSR activities through Gawad Kalinga – and promises to continue to do so in the years to come.
