Ford Philippines has launched the 13th edition of its globally recognized Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) program as part of the brand’s global caring month that it celebrates every September.
The program, with the theme of “Safe Driving in the New Normal”, covered timely topics such as car care maintenance tips, car sanitation, disinfection, and driving techniques for rainy weather. Aside from this, the standard DSFL program was also tackled which covered basic vehicle dynamics and handling as well as driving in various conditions, anti-distracted driving, and fuel-efficient driving.
While the DSFL is typically held in person, this year it has shifted into a virtual platform in order to foster a safe and physically distant learning environment. It is also important to note that the program has returned after a year hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are excited to bring the DSFL back this year as part of our Global Caring Month, bringing to life our long-standing advocacy on road safety on the digital platform.
He continues by stating that “This year, we are making the DSFL a more relevant training program for our participants by sharing the necessary driving habits and skills as they navigate the roads in the ‘new normal.” A long-time partner of the DSFL, Tuason Racing School was also present at the event and conducted the virtual program for Ford Philippines. With the shift to an online platform, the aim was to provide an interactive training session with more instructional videos, games, and contests as well.
With that in mind, Ford has announced that a number of DSFL sessions will be open to the public to register and participate. In order to join, you may check Ford Philippines’ Facebook page as the company will post updates there about its DSFL sessions.
