Originally an off-roader SUV, the Vitara was Suzuki’s “Grand” entry to the market. Placed above the Jimny, it’s supposed to be the bigger, better, more off-road capable beast that can still put a smile when driven in the city.
When the new Vitara was launched, it turned heads because it looked like a certain British SUV. Aside from that, the ‘Grand’ was dropped from its nameplate and it moved from SUV to crossover tier, now competing with the Juke and EcoSport.
With crossover sales on the rise and the two crossover leaders still not updated, Suzuki tries to go for an uppercut with the new Vitara.
