A car’s exterior design will make someone fall for it at first sight. However, its interior feel will create the bond with its owner. Mazda put this thinking into action, which makes the all-new CX-5 look as astounding as its aesthetic changes.
Inside the 2nd generation Mazda CX-5 represents the core of a new breed of luxury. The exterior changes are only the surface; the jewel of the CX-5 is inside its cabin, passenger seat, and rear seats – the place where you spend your time the most.
With its human-centric ambience, the texture, quality, and finish of the materials used are carefully examined and curated, so much that even the slightest details were made sure that it’s perfect for its function.
At front, the cockpit is driver-friendly and horizontally-themed, which gives a sense of encouragement to the driver to focus on the road ahead. The controls are also laid out in perfect symmetry. In case you have a problem with your knees touching the surface while driving, knee cushioning is available with the CX-5, prioritizing the comfort of the one commanding the car.
The all-new Mazda CX-5 comes with a power liftgate, opened and closed by a lightweight spindle damper system. The Japanese automaker claims the CX-5’s power liftgate has a smooth and quiet motion, enhancing the sense of quality.
Moreover, the dashboard is embellished with wooden and metal trims to exhume elegance, while areas that often come in contact with the occupants’ hands are made of materials that are soft to the touch. The seats are also designed to emphasize finish, toughness, and fine quality.
Speaking of which, the rear seats of the Mazda CX-5 can be reclined up to 28º, from an initial angle of 24º. This, along with the presence of air conditioning vents, arm rest cup holders, and USB charging ports for additional comfort and convenience, allows the rear passengers to feel more relaxed and at ease.
