Mitsubishi Montero Sport earns ASEAN NCAP’s 5-star safety rating

ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program in Southeast Asian region) awarded the Mitsubishi Montero Sport with high evaluation marks for its safety features.

The Montero Sport scored 15.29 points out of the 16-point standard in Adult Occupancy Protection (ACP), earning the highest 5-star rating. Furthermore, it garnered a 4-star rating (76%) for Child Occupant Protection (OCP) with its child seat ISOFIX.

Moreover, the new Montero Sport also earned the same 5-star rating from Latin NCAP, as well as from Australasian NCAP (ANCAP).

For reference of its safety features, the Mitsubishi Montero Sport is integrated with forward collision mitigation system, ultrasonic misacceleration mitigation system, Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution Body (RISE Body), active traction control, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD) and brake assist (BA), and 2 ISOFIX child seatbelts.

The ASEAN NCAP is the organization that evaluates on safety performances in new cars for the Southeast Asian region.
