Ford Philippines ended the month of May 2015 with sales reaching 1,652 units, pushing a 19% increase in its year-to-date performance to 8,557 units sold. Leading the pack once again is the Ranger, which remains to be Ford’s best selling nameplate in the country.

Last month has been tagged as the best month for the Ranger pickup truck with 823 units sold, or a 40% rise in its year-over-year sales. This feat also allowed an increase of 33% in its year-to-date sales to 3,572 units.

Also hitting high sales numbers, the EcoSport compact crossover brags a 20% increase in its year-over-year sales with 542 units sold. It continues to appeal to buyers with its stylish design, high-ground clearance, and smart technology. Meanwhile, 106 units of subcompact Fiesta found new owners last month. This helped it drive its year-to-date sales to 597 units.

“Customer response to our full lineup of global Ford vehicles remains strong across the country, with the wide appeal of the Ranger and EcoSport continuing to drive our overall performance,” said Kay Hart, Managing Director, Ford Philippines.

The all-new 6th generation Mustang has also caught the eye of many performance car buyers. Since its availability last April 30, 2015, 52 of these ponies have already been running on the road, which is a record breaking feat since 2012.

As for the all-new Everest, Ford has already taken reservations for the midsize SUV since it was launched last month. With its 7-seat capacity, off-road and on-road capabilities, the company expects it will give a significant boost in retail sales later this year when deliveries start in August.

To provide the best experience to its fast-growing customer base, Ford continues to expand its nationwide dealership expansion this month starting with the opening of Ford Sta. Rosa in Laguna. Ford is also targeting 40 dealer locations by the end of this year.
