Ber months have finally started, a time when the holiday spirit starts to invade the hearts of many. Ford, on the other hand, started the ber months through community projects. The Blue Oval marks this September as the Global Caring Month wherein thousands of Ford employees and dealer employees from around the world are expected to participate.
Locally, the said projects to be rendered by the following Ford volunteers are in partnership with Gawad Kalinga (GK). Soon enough, over 150 families from the following GK communities including the Tibagan Village, in Tarlac City, the Matalom Village in Leyte, and the Maria Elena Lorenzo in Isabela, will have access to clean, safe, and potable water all thanks to the three new communal water facilities to be constructed. This was strongly brought in by the positive outcome of the same water facility construction project that benefitted 170 families.
Aside from those water facilities mentioned, volunteers are also to visit Bayanihan in Dasmarinas, Cavite. Mainly for the purpose of building and painting houses that is set to benefit over 20 families. There will also be a food committee team under GK’s Kusina ng Kalinga program,
Back in 2018, Ford managed to feed 150 kids in La Union under the Kusina ng Kalinga program. This specific program has benefitted 800 public school children belonging from Taysan Central School, Pagasa Elementary School, Mapulo Elementary School, and Bilogo Elementary School in Taysan, Batangas.
The Multipurpose Hall or Community Center located at the GK Aeta Community in Bamban, Tarlac which benefits over 100 families, will soon be refurbished with the help of some Ford dealer employees.
Apart from those local-based projects, there also some Ford Global Caring Month projects which are internationally based scoping countries such as Australia, Brazil, China, South Africa, Spain, and many more.
September is Global Caring Month at Ford and we’re very excited to continue the work we do in the various communities we serve. The spirit of social responsibility and volunteerism is very much alive in Ford and we look forward to making a difference in the lives of more Filipinos nationwide with our programs and CSR initiatives.
