Geely closes 2025 strong, plans five new model launches for 2026

As Geely closes a milestone year in the Philippines, the brand enters 2026 with a clearer direction and a defined growth strategy. Speaking at a year-end event, Geely Philippines Senior Sales Director Joey Zhu highlighted the significance of 2025, stating, “2025 was special because it was Geely Group’s 39th anniversary, its 6th year in the Philippines, and the first year of Geely Philippines as a locally operating company.”

That local milestone was supported by strong global performance. Under its renewed “One Geely” strategy, the Geely Auto Group aligned its Geely, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co brands to improve operational efficiency and resource sharing, an approach that has already delivered record results. In 2025, the group posted total global sales of 3.02 million vehicles, up 39 percent year-on-year. New energy vehicles played a central role, with NEV sales reaching 1.68 million units for the year, a 90 percent increase and a major contributor to overall growth.

For the Philippine market, these figures represent more than global benchmarks. According to Zhu, the strong NEV performance “gives us great confidence for 2026,” a confidence now reflected in Geely Philippines’ product roadmap. After beginning direct operations and introducing its first new energy vehicle, the EX5, the brand is preparing its most expansive local lineup to date. Multiple new models are scheduled for launch throughout the year, spanning SUVs, hatchbacks, and sedans, and offering BEV, PHEV, and ICE powertrains.

The first major introduction for 2026 will be a plug-in hybrid SUV, which Zhu said will feature a premium interior and exterior design along with an industry-leading super hybrid system. Alongside its product expansion, Geely Philippines is targeting 7,000 vehicle sales next year, supported by continued dealer network growth. The company expects to operate more than 40 dealerships nationwide by 2026, aiming to improve market coverage and customer service.

After-sales capability has also been strengthened. Geely has established a 4,500-square-meter parts warehouse, stocked approximately 5 million USD worth of components, and maintains an inventory of around 1.3 million SKUs. Working with its local partners, the brand reports significant improvements in operational efficiency, including faster service turnaround, higher first-time fulfillment rates, and improved stock accuracy. Further enhancements to service quality, reach, and customer satisfaction are planned for 2026.

“Working with our partners, we have tripled operational efficiency—faster service, higher first-time fulfillment rates, and better stock accuracy. In 2026, we will take after-sales to the next level—improving service quality, reach, and customer satisfaction.”

Customer engagement remains another focus area. In September, Geely launched Geely Owner Philippines, its official owner community, designed to support local car clubs through online and offline events, exclusive benefits, and direct communication with the brand. The initiative aims to strengthen relationships with existing customers while fostering a growing local ownership network.

Since the launch of the Coolray in 2019, Geely has steadily built its presence in the Philippines, selling more than 9,300 units and earning the trust of over 30,000 Filipino customers in six years. As Zhu emphasized, “That trust means everything to us, and it gives us strong confidence as we prepare to bring exciting new models next year.”
